North Dakota Targeted Area Loan Program
The Internal Revenue Code requires that North Dakota HFA, as an issuer of tax-exempt mortgage revenue bonds, set aside a portion of the proceeds of a bond issue for up to one year for reduced interest rate mortgage loans in Targeted Areas of North Dakota.
What is a North Dakota Targeted Area?
Areas that are “targeted” by the Federal Government were identified in the Census as areas in North Dakota where 70 percent of the families who live there earn an income that is 80 percent or less than the statewide median income.
